Job Overview
As part of our development services, we specialize in custom WordPress solutions for our clients, as well as our internal themes and plugins, both open-source and commercial. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Stack WordPress Developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, a deep understanding of WordPress, a love for creating innovative and user-friendly websites, building custom plugins or expanding existing ones, building custom themes, and a passion for open-source technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications, ensuring responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Collaborate with account managers, project managers, designers, and other developers to create innovative and user-friendly websites, following best practices and industry standards.
- Maintain and optimize existing WordPress websites, resolving issues, updating plugins and themes, and implementing new features as needed.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of our internal WordPress plugins and themes, as well as our open-source projects.
- Stay up-to-date with WordPress developments, trends, and technologies, incorporating new techniques and tools into your workflow.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Assist in the development of project documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and release notes.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack web development, primarily focusing on WordPress.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP, with experience using front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
- Strong understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including custom theme and plugin development, and familiarity with the WordPress REST API.
- A complete understanding and experience with using and customizing/extending the most popular WordPress plugins and themes, as well as page builders such as Elementor & Divi, and building sites utilizing Gutenberg via custom blocks.
- Demonstrable personal GitHub projects related to WordPress, showcasing your passion and expertise in the platform.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git (Github) and other development tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively address challenges and find solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with clients.
- A passion for open-source technologies and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices.

- There is no set schedule for this position, we’ll work with you to determine your working hours depending on your location. Only a small overlap is needed in schedules for communication with the project management team.
